Tacky and wild color schemes would make your web design look foolish with too bright colors. These colors would also make the text difficult to read. You would not want your visitors to squint while reading. Also, make sure that the spelling and grammar of your text is correct.

By Stanley Shuster The problem with jobs for 13 and 14 year olds is that there are not too many of them. Kids that age are too young to be hired and so companies don't have anything for them. Children who have just become teenagers are kind of on their own to try and drum up something in their neighborhood to raise a little extra money.
Kids often start out babysitting and doing yard work like weeding or maybe mowing lawns. The more creative the child is, the more options he or she will come up with. Pet walking, car washing, and running errands are a couple of other things they might do. No matter what though, it is hard for kids that age to earn a steady income over the summer or whenever they need it.
Employers are more apt to hire a kid once they become a few years older. Since a child is generally considered to be more accountable and conscientious at the age of 15 or 16, the possibility of finding summer work is better. But there isn't an abundance of jobs available for middle teenagers either. Most job openings involve doing less demanding tasks in businesses such as movie theaters and shopping malls. The child will gain valuable work experience that they can include on a resume, which makes the minimum wage they will probably earn less of a disadvantage.
Another option for teenagers is to try to make some extra money online. While there aren't really any real online jobs for teens, it doesn't mean that they can't start learning how to make some extra pocket money. Teens learn new stuff very quickly and especially anything to do with technology and computers.
It's hard to find the right information to earn money online, but teens have the same opportunity as anyone and will work just as hard to succeed. Because no one can guarantee the economy will get better soon, it's a good idea for a teen to begin their job search now rather than waiting for the right job to come along. Teenagers with enterprising skills will succeed in just about anything, even if it's an Internet money maker.

A Tough Job Market
You are more than aware that you are in a tough job market and that you will have to do something to make yourself stand out from the rest of the crowd. You realize that you are competing against the odds.

What is Branding Yourself?
When companies want to sell something - they use whatever methods necessary to tell the customers who they are, what they do and how they do it - they "brand" the product.
I'm not a product? How do I brand myself?
This is one of the main secrets of successful interview preparation. Begin to think of yourself as a product. What this means is you have to discover What Makes You Unique - and to begin thinking of yourself like a product.
Effective branding used in the interview is the same as in business. It is telling the customer (in this case the interviewer) who you are; what you can do and have done in the past (your unique qualities); and why they should buy (hire you).
Call For An Interview
Let's assume that your resume made it to the top of the stack of resumes of people to be called for an interview.
First of all - you are to be congratulated on getting this far.
The problem is that You - and maybe nine or ten other equally qualified people for the position will receive that same call.
Because companies have so many candidates to choose from, they are interviewing more people so that they can select the "best." Are you the best? You had better be prepared to prove that you are the best by letting the interviewer know what makes you unique and what you can do for them - you you will bring to the position.
What makes you a "remember-able" person? When you are lucky enough to be invited to an interview it is essential that you be ready to sell yourself - to let the interviewer know what makes you unique - What added value you can bring to the position?
Why YOU are the best person for the job?
Your goal is to leave behind an impression of you and your "brand."
Preparation
By doing some simple basic preparation, you can determine your uniqueness, your "brand" and where you should focus your attention.
This process is to identify the points you have to offer - the combination that makes you Unique.
This should be a combination of your education, experience and any special training or certifications you may have, as well as your area of expertise, your strengths, and your personal traits.
You write your personal statement by listing all these qualities and then rewriting to make them into a concise statement ready to present to the employer when any of the standard questions come up.
"Tell me about yourself." "What makes you unique?" "What can you bring to this position that the other candidates can or can't?" "What are you strengths?" "Tell me something about you that will make me remember you after you leave the interview."
You can develop the answers to these questions by using "5 points" to use during the interview. If you use your five fingers to keep focused you can jog your memory if you forget what you were going to say due to being nervous.
Point #1
Your education and years of experience. (More experienced persons will talk mainly about experience and not education.
Point #2
Your area of expertise - or what you know a lot about. (For less experienced people you will have to rely on classes or courses you've taken).
Point #3
Your strength - this is usually a trait that you can use in any job. In other words, a general trait. (Communication, Relating to Others, Analytical Problem Solving, Determination, Adaptability).
Point #4
Your work ethic or work style (This is what coworkers would say to describe you).
Point #5
Something interesting about you (A hobby, somewhere that you volunteer to do, a sport or arts interest. If you can think of something that relates to the job you are applying for that would be a plus).
By summarizing what you have to offer in a methodical way you will be less apt to wander or forget what you intended to say.
You can write out your job winning brand or you can search for online tools to help you create your personal interview brand.
Regardless of the method you use - you should be prepared. It will make a difference in the way that you present yourself and in your being able to talk openly - without being modest about what you have to offer. You will be able to tell the interviewer why they should hire YOU - and what makes you unique.
Preparation will help you in ALL your interactions - social, business, and your day-to-day life. The more you know yourself and are will to talk openly about yourself the more comfortable you will be in talking about yourself - to anybody.

By Connor Sullivan Vacations allow a family to escape from their everyday life and refresh the entire group. It's fun to have a favorite vacation spot that becomes your home away from home. The family gets to know it and you get to know many of the fun places to see. But maybe you want more adventure. Maybe you want to see different places every year and have new experiences. An easy way to find new vacation areas to stay is to find timeshare rentals. Timeshares are located all over the country allowing you to visit a new location every year. So, where do you want to go? That is the first question. Someone once said that there are four types of outdoor vacation. These four types correspond to the four original elements defined by the Greeks back in their ancient days. These four elements, if you remember, are earth, air, fire, and water. The application of the four elements to four types of vacation needs a bit more explanation. An Earth vacation is a visit to the prairie, somewhere in the middle of the United States. An Air vacation is a mountain vacation. The best mountains in America can be found in the East (the Appalachians) and in the West (the Rockies). A Fire vacation is a desert vacation in the southwestern part of the country. Finally, a Water vacation, of course, takes place by a lake or the ocean. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota has the best lakes. These three States have a large number of small natural lakes and, of course, the Great Lakes. Ocean vacations are a fun choice on either the East Coast or the West Coast, the farther south, the better.
In my opinion, a Prairie vacation is the least attractive, but that's probably because I am ignorant of the attraction of these places. There are lovely cities in the prairie that will give you a good time. In St. Louis, there is an arch which is a famous landmark. Mt. Rushmore is in that area, but should we count it as an Earth vacation or as an Air vacation? You decide.
A Fire vacation can take a family to an area that is totally different from home (unless you happen to live in the Southwest). No place in America has a stark, beautiful landscape as is found in the desert. Our desert region has many attractions, such as the Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, the Painted Desert, and the Petrified Forest.

By Orietta Qi Small ingredients companies supplying chocolate and other products are expected to benefit from the cost-cutting tactics of their larger counterparts which now find themselves under threat, according to a co-founder of HB Ingredients.
Tony Mycock, of the UK chocolate supplier HB Ingredients, told ConfectioneryNews.com that the industry currently faced a number of challenges including rising cocoa prices, despite chocolate being relatively resilient to recession.
However, Mycock added: "One of the good things is that the larger companies that have grown by under-cutting prices and reducing margins are the ones under threat and that will benefit the small producers and distributors."
He said that HB Ingredients' prices were increasing - in some cases by as much as 20 per cent - predominantly because of the weak sterling as it imports a lot of products from the EU. Also cocoa prices crashed through the 2,000 (?2133) a tonne barrier earlier this year.
At the same time he said some manufacturers were trying to cut their ingredient costs by maybe switching back from chocolate to cocoa powder.
Mycock said: "It is a very challenging but at the end of the day we are in business to make a profit and have to continue to do so for us to be there in five or 10 years time. So we have to pass these increases on to the market place."
HB Ingredients, which saw turnover in excess of 5m in 2008, was among the exhibitors at the IFE09 (the International Food and Drink Event) in London this week,
The company expects the impact of the weakness of Sterling and the higher cocoa market to come through in the second half of 2009.
It states on its website that prices for Callebaut, Cacao Barry, Carma & Belcolade chocolate products will increase by around 20 percent from July 1st, 2009.
However, it adds: "We will be increasing stock levels as far as possible in order that we can help you (its customers) stock build before the price increase applies."
It supplies chocolate, fondants and sugar ingredients to the bakery and confectionery sectors and claims to be the largest independent chocolate supplier in the UK.
However, Mycock said they were looking at opportunities to expand into Ireland and other countries.
Cocoa prices
May cocoa futures on London's LIFFE exchange reached 2,005 (?2138) a tonne in January which was close to the record high prices of $3000 (?2,317) a tonne achieved on the New York Futures in June last year.
The surge in costs for cocoa was expected to put further pressure on chocolate makers to pass price rises onto their customers.
Bullish factors that contributed to this price hike included a rise in US cocoa bean processing in the last quarter of 2008 and a massive drop in cocoa deliveries - by more than 30 per cent - to Ivory Coast ports between the beginning of October and January 11. December is usually the peak of the harvesting season.

When you purchase an accounting software system, you have to be prepared to commit 100% to it. Yes, you could buy a different system down the line, but is it so much easier if you simply do some research and find a program that will meet your needs now and as you grow in the future.
Here's some advice to keep in mind when you're deciding which payroll accounting or straight accounting software to purchase for your business.
Will it be able to perform the necessary tasks?
What does your business need the accounting software to do today? What kind of business are you running? Are you in a business that sells goods or services? Just as with the London close, there is no set way in which the New York afternoon market plays out. Why do investors need to exchange their domestic currencies for foreign currencies? Many want to invest in foreign assets. For that they need to convert their domestic currency into foreign currency. Is there any relationship or correlation between these different financial markets and the forex market? There is a fair amount of noise and misinformation about the supposed relationship among these markets and the individual currency pairs. You can always find some correlation between two markets over time.
Crude oil futures contract trade on NYMEX. Gold futures trade on many exchanges. Dow futures trade on CBOT. S&P futures trade on CBOE. Stocks get traded around the world in different stock exchanges. NYSE is the most famous stock exchange. The forex market is 10-15 times bigger than all the worlds stock markets combined. There are many financial instruments and contracts that get traded in different financial markets all over the world. All these individual financial markets function according to their own internal dynamics based on data, news, positioning and sentiment. However, always keep this in kind that all the various financial markets are markets in their own right.
Each financial contract has its own characteristics, functions and markets where they trade. You should view each market in its own right perspective and trade accordingly. Gold: Gold is considered to be an alternative to the US Dollar and a hedge against inflation. Gold is commonly viewed as a store of value in times of economic and political instability and uncertainty.
A weaker US Dollar is generally accompanied by higher gold prices and a stronger US Dollar is accompanied by lower gold prices. Over the long term, the relationship between Gold and US Dollar is mostly inverse or negative.
In the short term, the relationship between gold prices and US Dollar may not be as solid as it has been historically in the long term. This makes short term relationship between the gold prices and US Dollar generally tenuous. However, in the short term, each market has its own dynamics and liquidity. Overall, the gold market is much smaller than the forex market. There is only a limited and finite quantity of gold. No major gold mine has been discovered in the past many decades. Only the discovery of a major gold mine can bring the prices of gold right now.
If you are a currency trader than it is not difficult for you to trade gold also! Al most the same technical analysis tools are used in gold trading as in currency trading. Extreme movements in the gold prices tend to attract currency traders attention and usually influence the US Dollar in a mostly inverse fashion. At the same time, gold traders tend to keep an eye on whats happening to the US Dollar.
Oil: A lot of confusion is usually spread on the relationship between oil and US Dollar and other currencies like CAD and JPY. Correlation studies show no appreciable relationship to that effect in the short run which is where most of the currency trading is focused. The idea behind these theories is that if the country is an importer of oil, its currency will be hurt by the higher oil prices and helped by lower oil prices.

An EOI, or Expression of Interest, is a good choice for a company that needs help with a specific problem but does not know how to fix it. In other words, theres something that needs fixing, but theyve never dealt with the problem before. An EOI will provide solutions as well as a list of costs to deal with it.
Requests for Proposals (RFPs) are used when you are looking to purchase goods or services directly from a third party. A good RFP will usually include more than one solution to your problem, and price those different options accordingly. This gives you the flexibility to have the problem solved but still have room to change if something else comes up. This type of proposal is most often seen in the consulting industry or information and communication technologies field.
RFTs, Requests for Tenders, on the other hand, are used to provide a specific solution to a specific problem. There is one problem in question, there is limited room for flexibility, and the price is not likely to change. This format is usually used in the building or construction industry. An example would be the addition of a bathroom to a house. There may be some differences in materials and labor, but each proposal is for the same project.
I know what my problem is and need a considerable amount of flexibility to solve my problem. Therefore, I will be asking procurement to get request for proposal from the top contenders.
It might take some time for a company to complete an RFP, depending on how detailed the projects is. By collecting a lot of RFPs, though, you will have a better chance of getting the best deal possible.
