You might think that it is a little covert to engage in this practice, but there are often good reasons for recording phone conversations. If you work in the field of law enforcement, or journalism, you will have seen that this procedure is used extensively. If you want to get proof of discussions during the course of delicate negotiations, or to have answers to any questions which may be raised in the future, this may be a good idea for you. The technology in this area is very straightforward and there are a variety of good products out there, but do make sure that you follow all the legal requirements before going forward.

Recording phone conversations is quite common, especially in the field of journalism. Radio personnel often tape interviews for rebroadcast, for example. A public information officer may be interviewed following some activity or incident and his or her statement recorded for broadcast at subsequent intervals. How often have we heard the statement "this conversation may be recorded for training purposes" when we receive a call from a business? Also, conversations are routinely recorded by law-enforcement officers for legal purposes.

There are particularly harsh laws applicable, so make sure that you do not fall foul of the situation when you consider recording phone conversations. Federal law within the United States dictates that at least one party must be aware that the call is being recorded.

Some states within the USA require all parties be aware of the situation when you plan to record. You must therefore check whether your state is a one-party or a two-party state. You might need evidence that the other party has given you permission, so make sure that you have this before you consider recording phone conversations. Try and get this permission on tape. Journalists often read a lawyer-prepared script to the other person, routinely. Many professional journalists read the script on every occasion, advising the other party or parties that they intend to rebroadcast the chat.

Many journalists fall back on the protection of "freedom of the press" and insist that the interviewed party does not need to give them permission. They contend that the other party only needs to be informed of the recording, but they should be sure that they have a valid reason for taping and that the story is of clear public importance. Those journalists who are not careful in this area risk significant civil and possibly criminal penalties.

Ethan Rasiel, a former McKinsey consultant wrote The McKinsey Mind and The McKinsey Way. These two books give a great deal of in-depth information regarding firm culture and practices. I will cover these items here, but there is already good information to be had in these books.

Two more excellent books are Good to Great and Built to Last by Jim Collins. He has also written quite a few other very fine books, and I recommend them, but these two are my favorites. They truly capture the essence of today's business world. You will hear Jim Collins' books discussed in consulting circles on a regular basis. They have had a measurable impact on the way that consultants interact with clients and the way in which corporations evaluate themselves.

The Best in Magazines and Periodicals:

Although, I have never read the Harvard Business Review cover-to-cover, I definitely recommend it. There is always something of timely interest to be found. Whether it's setting up organizational systems with an eye to talented employee retention or how to encourage bottoms-up innovation, there is always something interesting and timely in every issue.

The Economist is quite good. Because I have had experience with McKinsey, it has been surprising to me to find out how many people keep up with The Economist regularly. I always subscribe to The Economist. It really helps with understanding the most important issues in today's global economy. The business, economics, and finance sections are especially interesting.

Fortune Magazine always has in-depth, high-quality articles on the leading thinkers in the business world. It also has good information about the top companies. Fortune is well-written and makes good reading.

How The LPN Can Complement Patient Care In A Hospital Environment

Recent studies undertaken in the United States have suggested that the ratio of Registered Nurses (RN's) per capita is likely to soon, or may have already reached a peak. Hereafter the ratio is expected to decline. This decline may well last for as long as the next decade.

The main reason believed to be behind this expected decline is a steadily aging workforce who upon retirement are not being replaced by newly qualified individuals. The reasons behind this net decline are complex and not totally clear but may simply be the fact that in today's society there are many competing roles for prospective nursing candidates and as a result the overall number of individuals seeking a career in nursing will decline.

This expected decrease in numbers of RN's might not have come at a worse time. The need for health care services in the US has been increasing steadily for a number of years. The primary reasons for this increased demand are believed to be; an increase in the overall population, as much as 1% per year; there have been an increase in the number of antibiotic-resistant infections; there are more incidents of chronic illnesses; and, older people in the population are living longer due to new technologies and treatments.

The role of the Licensed Practical Nurse, or LPN has traditionally been used as a substitute role. Medical facilities have used LPN's to replace RN's or their less qualified colleagues patient care assistants (PCA's). However, it is now believed that a greater degree of success in managing the overall decline in the ratio of RN's per capita would be to use the LPN role a complementary role rather than a substitution. In this way it is believed that the care offering of such medical facilities might be extended beyond their current capabilities without loss of quality of patient care.

At the start of each day the nursing team meet to evaluate the needs of their patients for that day. The RN, who would supervise all work undertaken, would allocate tasks to the LPN's and PCA's based upon their specific skills and experience. In this way the medical facility maximises the return on the particular make up of its staff team as well as involving them in the important decisions surrounding the care of their patients.

The rationale behind this team based approach is to provide the foundation for the maintenance of standards of patient care but at the same time creating an environment in which the RN is free to utilise their time where their experience and qualifications have most impact. They will be able to free themselves from tasks that are relatively straightforward and mundane allowing them time to devote to the more complex aspects of treatments. This method of utilising LPN's to complement the care team also means that stress levels and time demands on the LPN are reduced thus avoiding potential risks to the quality of care and to staff morale.

The effectiveness of this method of organizing the care teams in relevant medical facilities has been demonstrated in pilot schemes. The Licensed Practical Nurse, or LPN is able to be utilised to enhance the quality and reach of patient care. In this way, rather than the traditional way, the LPN's skill and ability is able to be leveraged effectively in a way which both maintains the quality and standard of care, and at the same time not risk issues of employee dissatisfaction.

The Magnuson-Moss Act provides that anybody warranting a consumer product (auto/ car) to a consumer by means of a written warranty must disclose, fully and conspicuously, in simple and readily understood language, the terms and conditions of the warranty to the extent required by rules of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). We do not have roll over minutes in our house. It is good to skip days sometime to let you family know that you are thinking about them. As any drummer knows, it is easy to get lost in time when practicing, especially when playing to music. So when your wife comes in and points to her watch, you smile and say, "Yes Dear."

And most of the really successful speed drummers obviously did not want to give away ALL their secrets (understandably). So, I did what I could. And after spending 3 weeks (1-2 hours per session, 4-6 days per week), I managed to improve my speed by about 60-70 beats per minute. I really didn't expect to win though; since several of Mike Mangini's Berklee students were to be part of the regional competition.

A typical drumstick has a tip, shoulder, shaft and butt. The tip, also referred to as bead, is the top-most part that strikes the drum. Traditionally, the tip is made of the same hard wood as the rest of the stick.

Vinnie Colauita once said, "Just play in 7 for like an hour". This is especially insightful as we can often get caught up in studying things too closely and miss the point. Sheer repetition will help lead to more comfort in odd times.

Sometimes the drum heads may even puncture when the hit is hard. If all this still does not provide you with good reasons to go for a new one at regular intervals, then you should realize that once it becomes weak it is difficult for you to play the roll or the fast chops. As a drummer you should change your drum heads after every six months.

However, six months is not an ideal time. If you have been playing the drum too often lately, consider changing it even though you may have changed it four months back. Signs that should tell you it is now the time for you to change are indents and cracks.

Well, I asked around a bit and was surprised to learn that the history of second line is a bit cloudy. Nobody can seem to agree on how it evolved, I heard stories about there being a line of musicians and staff that marched behind the mourners (second line) at a funeral parade in New Orleans. Apparently the musicians would play funeral marches on the way to the funeral and more livelier pieces on the return home.

Communicate to you family the importance of regular practice. If you skip too may days in a row you can tell and it takes a couple of days or more to regain what you lost. I quit playing for many years and when I started back, it took a year to feel completely at home on the throne. I still had the moves in my head but getting the sticks on the skins was a completely different endeavor.

I've been a web designer, developer, and project manager for about eight years now. In that time I've seen many trends come and go; whether it be plain html sites, sites in Mambo or Joomla, or blogs and static sites in WordPress, I've built and managed sites on many different platforms - mostly open source.

In all of this time working on web projects, I have recently noticed that there are three core items that I work on with every project. These items are not trends or fads. They have been around since I started working on web sites and will likely be around long after I'm done working on them. They are search engine optimization (SEO), conversions, and web standards compliance. Yes, there are many many other things that can be focused on besides the three things, but your time will certainly be well spent on these. These are not fads.

Search engine optimization (SEO) seems to change on an almost daily basis. Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft are always tweaking their algorithms to return better results for search terms. While many things will change, some of the more consistent aspects of SEO include focusing on the keywords you use in your title tags as well as the keywords you use in your URLs. While meta key words and descriptions are very much a thing of the past, the hottest fads right now include social media, social networking, and blogging.

No matter the industry or business you are in, conversions are always a focused. Whether you want to convert someone walking into your front door into a paying customer or someone visiting your web site into a frequent commenter, you must always be thinking about your desired outcome when designing and building a web site. We have been doing this since we started building web sites. Bloggers often want to create an active community, e-commerce sites want to convert visitors and customers, and media sites want visitors to stick around and read other content. When designing a site, keep your end goal in mind, and developed your user interface around that goal.

You must always focus on web standards when building a web site. Web standards compliance ensures that your website will show up consistently across the multitude of web browsers that exist. The added bonus of a focus on web standards includes the fact that your website will load faster. A faster loading website combined with the standards compliant code is like candy for the search engines and they reward you for this by improving your rankings in the search results.

So, as you can see, some fads come and go but there are some things in web design and development that have been true since the beginning. Search engine optimization, conversions, and standards compliance will always be important to you when working on a web site.

To Little To Late? GM Fritz Henderson Takes Charge!

Even though General Motors had been experiencing some difficult times during the last few years, including mismanagement with regards to executives, the recent announcement of bankruptcy still sent shock waves through the country. After all, General Motors had been a symbol of American innovation for decades.

In March of this year, shortly after the U.S. president ordered CEO Rick Wagoner to be fired from his position in General Motors, GM Fritz Henderson assumed his position at the helm. Unfortunately for Wagoner, his attempts at restructuring the company after receiving numerous loans and bailouts didn't work, and as a result, the task was handed over to GM Fritz Henderson, not to mention that he was also unable to save the company from collapse. Quite understandably, many people are wondering why the task was handed to Henderson in the first place, considering he had been vice president at that time when General Motors applied for bankruptcy.

Why Did General Motors End Up Going Bankrupt? To a great extent, one can say that "planned obsolescence" played a major role in General Motors losing a substantial amount of money during the past ten years. In an attempt to stimulate the market for new you vehicles, General Motors came up with a concept known as, "planned obsolescence". Essentially, this was a design concept to insure that a vehicle would only last for a limited amount of time or miles before needing to be replaced. Considering that imported vehicles were known to last beyond 200,000 miles, building a car not to last was by all accounts a poor concept.

Failure to recognize market trends regarding fuel consumption was another leading factor with regards to GM's bankruptcy. Practically all GM's cars were heavy on gas , essentially because General Motors produced mainly large cars or sports models, and while many people favored these cars in the past, the ever increasing price of oil soon resulted in a different trend where people were opting for cars which use less gas. Before long, General Motors found themselves in a position when they simply couldn't move enough cars.

There were additional problems GM faced and GM Fritz Henderson, Wagoner, and other executives were simply ineffectual in terms of their ability to handle these problems. The company was losing money from collapsing sales. Losses started to rise into the double digit billions. The company was quickly heading to insolvency.

These problems were compounded by various poor managerial decisions. Namely, a joint venture with Nissan and Renault proved disastrous. General Motors also poorly negotiated union contracts it was not able to afford. These problems further drained the company making a turnaround far too difficult.

While many people still wonder what GM Fritz Henderson, Wagoner and the others did in order to cope with the problems, an answer remains elusive because the truth is, no fixed plan was ever implemented. Even attempts to sell the European wing were a failure which resulted in further losses. In the end the company arrived at a decision to accept a Federal government bailout in order to avoid the bankruptcy court. However, this also failed to work and General Motors simply couldn't avoid filing for bankruptcy. In essence, this spelt the end for General Motors and ironically, it ties in perfectly with the start of GM Fritz Henderson as CEO.

To a great extent, the end of General Motors was a bittersweet event, considering that the bankruptcy still allows the company to exist, even though it's a far cry of its former self. Funnily enough, instead of General Motors, it has now been dubbed "Government Motors" instead, thus officially putting an end to any era.

Transformers 2 - Bumblebee

The pair Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg, are in the lime light again with yet another smash hit, Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen, the continuation of Transformers. Back again are the awesome, fantastic, and exciting roles. Among all the parts in the movie, some of them are extremely sweet and pleasing, some are shuddery and threatening, while others are honourable and divine. These characters were unforgettable for a single moment during the two years that were spent in the making of the sequel.

Now that these incredible characters are back again, our most favourite and sweet car Bumblebee is worth mentioning. Bumblebee is The 1976 Chevrolet Camaro and is the protector, supporter, friend, and ally of our human hero Sam Witwicky. Bumblebee was the first car which Sam bought. Bumblebee later modified himself into the 2009 model because Sam's girlfriend Mikaela Banes called him an old and useless car. He also helped Sam to woo Mikaela.

Bumblebee was always courageous yet heedful, and stayed with Sam through thick and thin and led him. Only, Bumblebee had some complications with his vocalisation, and could not utter and rather relied upon radio sound bites to speak out his heart. Near the end of the film he got back his voice to some extent but not completely.

In Transformers 2, Bumblebee still does not get back his vocalisation completely and uses sound bites. Mark Ryan is providing the vocalisation of Bumblebee once again. Ryan is also keeping up with his part, as a backup for robots on set as well.

Sam was affectionate towards his auto and took it as his friend. However, now in Transformers 2, Sam is going away from his town to go to an East Coast College to learn astronomy. He is leaving his loved ones behind. Nevertheless, along with them he also has to leave behind his auto because at his educational institute freshmen are not granted to bring autos. Sam is happy as due to this, he will be away from the constant supervision and protection of Bumblebee.

Later in the movie, Bumblebee is also forced to leave the Witwicky's garage as during an incident he wrecks the whole house, which ultimately gets him out of the house.

In Transformers 2, the Super Sport version of the 2010 Camaro was utilised, as after touching Allspark in Transformers Bumblebee again gets his power, and to project the consequence of more strength and vigour a better version of the auto was utilised.

The mini account was developed to accommodate investors who were looking for diversification of their stocks portfolios. You can open a mini account with a deposit of $300. This small dollar requirement allows many investors to participate in the forex markets who were previously unable to do so.

One lot on a mini account is equal to $10,000. This is known as a mini lot. As compared to a standard account, on a mini account you have a different lot size. You only need $50 to trade a mini lot of $10,000. This means a leverage of 200%. As compared to the standard account, pips size on a mini account is also small. A pip size on the mini account is equal to $1. 1 pip is equal to $10 on a standard lot.

A mini account is a great way for beginners to practice forex trading. If you lose 100 pips on a mini account, it means losing only $100 as compared to losing $1000 on a standard lot. You can say a mini account reduces your risk by 10%. But it also reduces the amount of profit that you can make. Start with at least $500 on a mini account.

From Bad Credit To Better Credit In 10 Minutes

Let me start off by saying that understanding how the three major credit bureaus arrive at your credit score is one of the most powerful pieces of knowledge you can have. Most likely this is not something that you have ever been taught. In fact, when it comes to your credit scores, the three major credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and Transunion, run sort of a "black box" operation.

Now I will keep it simple and explain how your credit scores are calculated...

Your Payment History (35%) Makes up the largest factor in determining your score. This is a picture of how you pay your bills.

Credit Utilization 30%: This is the percentage of available credit used. We want to keep our balances below 50% of the limit ideally. This is where we will find the most room for improvement in most cases.

Credit History 15%: How long your accounts have been open. Longer more established accounts are more positively weighted than newer accounts.

Credit Inquiries 15%: Whenever you apply for credit, an inquiry is registered on your credit reports. If you get too many, it can have a negative effect.

Credit Types In Use 10%: The number of accounts in use, and the type of credit accounts. Finance company accounts are of the lowest value, and too many of them can cause a negative effect on your scores.

Since we now have an understanding of how scores are calculated, now we can focus on a couple of things we can do right now to maximize our scores.

Get an increased credit limit. This is very simple to do, and I think you will be pleasantly suprised by the success rate if you just make a couple easy phone calls. Just pick up the phone and ask to raise your credit limit. Now you can also use my favorite strategy and say something like, "I am considering a balance transfer to another card with a higher limit and better interest rate, but thought I would see first if you would increase my limit and possibly lower my interest before I cancel this card.". I have found this to be successfull nearly all the time, both personally as well as with my clients.

Let's say for example you have a credit card with a $5,000 credit limit, and you currently have a $4,000 balance on it (80% utilized). After your quick phone call, they agree to raise your credit limit to $6,500 (now 62% utilized). This alone will immediately increase your credit scores. Remember in the "Credit Utilization" section above, we want to ideally keep our balances below 50% of the credit limit. This brings us to the next powerful tip.

Lower Your Balances! Continuing from the example above, you are now 62% utilized on your credit card. This means you still have some room to further maximize your scores. If you pay $750 on this credit card, you will bring the balance down to 50% of the new credit limit ($3,250 balance on $6,500 credit limit). Now, you might be saying that you don't have $750 to pay down your credit card. That's ok, you could stop here, you have already increased your scores, and you can get the limit raised for all your credit card accounts. However, if you are trying to buy a home, or even a car, you can potentially save thousands in interest on your new loan and get a lower monthly payment, just by paying a little down on your current accounts. When that results in higher credit scores, you may qualify for much better loan terms.

These are very powerful techniques. I have seen this work for clients time and time again. One client recently was able to raise the credit limits on 3 credit card accounts and raise their scores by 105 points immediately.

Bear in mind that these techniques are recommended to those with a clean credit history. Credit card companies are more willing to work with those that have an established history of making payments on time. If you have negative items on your credit, perhaps a more aggressive credit repair approach is more appropriate.

This year will mark the first installment of the biennial Artists of Hawaii 2009. The event is something that Hawaii residents all look forward to in attending because it will mark again the celebration of the locals' talents and unique taste of the Arts. A guest curator will be featured this year who is none other than Laura Hoptman, the senior curator for the New York Museum of Contemporary Art.

Contemporary Art depicts the art of the Modern times, it is often confused by Post modern because some claim that we actually live in the Post Modern era already and that any art that comes out during these times should be called as "Post Modern". To avoid confusion let me first give you the difference between Modern, Post modern and Contemporary Art as these are three subjects that are oftentimes misused.

Post modern art is described as the combination of the different Art Styles during the Modern era and these styles includes: Art Nouveau and Art Deco among many others. Post Modern style is always a mixture of two or more style era. Modern Art is described as Art that emerged after the renaissance Period or the Period of "rebirth". It is oftentimes categorized as the Art created during the 18th to early 19th century. Contemporary Art is used to describe the current trend of Styles during the ongoing era. The term contemporary does not come into existence until the half of 19th century (1950's) onwards.

Paintings are mostly on display on this exhibit. Expect young and talented artists churning out their fresh minds to create great pieces. Contemporary Hawaiian artists all gather at the Artists Guild to celebrate their talents by showing their creations to spectators and enthusiasts.

Are You Benefiting From Web 2.0 Traffic From Other Search Engines?

One of the things I see lots of Internet Marketers doing is putting their full focus on Google and their search engine rankings, to the exclusion of all other search engines.

Now in your quest for more web 2.0 traffic, I am going to suggest you should broaden your horizons and look at other traffic sources.

At first glance this makes sense because Google do have by far the largest market share i.e. more people use Google for finding what they want on the Internet than any other search engine.

However because more people use it, more advertisers are drawn to it and advertise with Google, so this often brings more competition, and more cost to advertise.

Have you ever considered focusing on some of the less prominent search engine? Or putting some focus on them at least?

Yahoo and MSN are two examples of search engines that still get a considerable number of people using them (obviously not to the level Google does) however, it some cases I have researched there is little and if your really lucky no competition for paid advertising with these search engines in particular niches.

That's right, it is possible to be the only paid advertiser for a given niche. Of course this can change at any time, and people will get savvier about this as the word gets around.

Imagine if you can get your website listed prominently in these search engines result pages, but also advertising your website using their paid advertising!

Now you will obviously want to ensure you're also using Google, and focusing on getting good rankings in their search engines results, but don't ignore these other search engines.

One thing I tell people is to try and bring in as much traffic as you can from as many sources as possible.

I mean would you be happy with 1000 visitors to a day when it quite possibly to increase this by 100% or more by using some of the other traffic sources outlined on this website?

You want as many visitors as possible, don't you. Sure you want them to be targeted and qualified visitors, and not just random people surfing by (unless you have a fantastic product that everyone in the world would want). If you have such a product let me know, I'd probably want to invest in your company!.

It only takes a little vision to stretch your horizons. I tell people to spend some time looking at the larger picture and working out where you want your website to be. Focus on your site from a visitor's perspective. Great content that is relevant to the visitor will push up sales in no time at all!

I recently read a book entitled simply: The Eight. It was a very intense book about how a certain chess service in the middle ages brought tremendous power to the owner of the chess service, but it also brought great despair and ruin to whomever possessed it for too long of a time period.

With that in mind, do you think it a coincidence that most of the great chess masters of our time grew up with very strict musical lessons? Overall, the general impression that one should consider is that music is a very powerful medium that not only affects moods and tempers, it also trains the mind in certain subconscious ways in which regular listeners cannot discern unless trained in a musical instrument. Ranking the quality of your real estate leads

In previous articles, I've stressed the importance of consistent lead generation. I've also shared that my goal was to generate 400 new leads each month. In this article, we will focus on lead quality.

Right now, many agents seem to be focusing almost exclusively on generating leads inexpensive leads. The problem is, I have found that these inexpensive leads tend to be lower-quality leads.

Here is an interesting finding from my business:

Lower quality leads are attractive because you don't have to spend a lot on the "front side" to generate the leads. However, you end up having to spend more on the "back side" trying to convert these lower quality leads into clients. The "back side" is the marketing you deliver to the leads once generated. This would include special reports, sales letters, and more.

For my own business, the ranking of the quality of leads is as follows: (Ranked from highest to lowest quality)

1. Referrals

2. Joint Venture Endorsement

3. Leads who register to attend a class

4. Leads who respond to an advertorial ad

5. Leads responding to a "solo" email or "pay-per-click"

6. Leads responding to a home buyer magazine advertisement or classified ad

7. Leads who respond to a Craigslist ad or a similar free ad

So many agents seem to be focusing on these free or cheap ads that attract lower-quality leads. What ends up happnening, then, is major effort required to convert these leads into appointments, showings and sales.

To be successful, an agent's marketing campaign must include leads from each of the sources listed above. I would evn suggest that more resources be invested in the top four or five categories, in order to capture higher-quality leads. The amount invested will be higher, but the higher-quality leads will mean less invested per lead to convert them into clients/buyers.

Follow this advice, and you'll soon notice that you have less competition in your market. This is because the majority of your competitors will still be focusing on inexpensive ads that attract-lower quality leads. How many agents in your area are setting up joint venture marketing campaigns? How many are running advertorial ads? I'll bet there aren't very many.

Why is this the case?

It's a downward spiral for these other agents. Focusing on lower-quality leads means not selling very many homes. And with limited home sales, funds will get tighter and they won't be able to afford marketing that does attract higher-quality leads. You can gain a long-term economic advantage just by turning your focus to high-quality leads now.

Bottom line: A lead is not a lead. Different quality levels exist in the leads you generate. A comprehensive marketing campainng that stresses generating higher-quality leads will mean more sales for you, while your competition fights over the lower-quality leads.

Margin Makes Foreign Exchange Trading Exciting

One of the key factors leading to the popularity of foreign exchange trading is "margin". Without this factor, most forex trading would be well outside the realms of average investors. But what precisely is margin?

Foreign exchange traders are able to control large lots of currency by means of margin. They are able to do this while investing relatively small amounts of money. The trader will open an account with a forex broker in order to gain access to leverage. In this way they can control lots of up to $100 000 in foreign currency, this is the generally accepted size of these lots.

Your borrowing power in the margin account allows you leverage which is expressed in the form of a ratio. For example a leverage ratio of 100:1 allows the trader to control foreign exchange assets of 100 times the amount of their deposit. The trader is able to access large profits when trading on a margin, but this also means that losses can also be incurred. Money likes speed so although the risk of losses exists, safeguards are generally put in place to limit these losses. A broker will generally terminate any transaction before it goes above the deposit margin, but in some instance more than the initial deposit may be lost.

Forex is actually traded in smaller units than cash is. For example the US dollar trades down to four decimal points. For instance instead of $1.42, it will ready as $1.4238. The smallest unit is known as a "pip". When trading US dollars in a value of a $100 000 lot, your pip is valued at $10. If the price of the dollar were to change from $1.4238 to 1.5238, it is a 100 pip difference and while this loss or profit of $10 may be meaningful to a tourist, it means very little to an investor. This example indicates how margin is able to increase potential profit or loss.

Oil Painters of America: An Annual Show in Santa Fe

Painting makes me relax and the activity takes away all of the stress that I experience during the day. As a kid I vividly remember my fondness for drawing and making artworks. This fondness I carried through during my high school years when I joined our school's Painting curriculum. I already am well-versed through using watercolors and acrylic mediums. I would like to try out Oil painting next.

Oil painting is very different from painting with watercolors. Water color is done by mixing the cake palette with water in order for the color to flow into the brush. It is also hard to create an opaque color scheme with watercolor. It is water based and oftentimes thin and transparent. You have very little control of your colors in case of transparency since watercolor is generally quick to dry out.

Acrylic is harder when dry and more opaque compared with watercolor. It does not flow freely compared to watercolor. Acrylics can either be water based or oil based. It is often used in large compositions since it much easier for the artist to mix and match colors using acrylics. Oil based acrylics tend to flow freely but can leave nasty smudges and stains on the artist's clothes.

Working with oil paints are relatively easier for some artists who want to produce a quality painting in a short period of time. Almost all of the artists nowadays use oil paints in their compositions, a proof of its rising popularity. Before actually putting any content in your pages, you should ensure that all the pages you mapped out in your original plan have been created and saved. So, instead of creating and completing a page at a time, you create and save every single page. This will prevent the creation of links that don't work properly because, when you come to create a link, the page you are linking to will already exist; you point to it and ask Dreamweaver to create the link.

Naturally, you will want to ensure that there is some consistency within your pages with some elements that remain the same as visitors move from page to page. One of the best ways to achieve this is to create at least one Dreamweaver template.
