It is time to celebrate if you get an IRS Refund ...any refund. Even a little one! If you are like me, until you actually do your taxes you have no idea if you will be getting a refund or will have to pay the government, mega bucks!
Granted, you should have a feeling that you are going to get a refund or will be paying, but the tax code and personal situations change from year to year and so it can be hard to figure it out.
Some ambitious people do year-end planning that allows them to come up with a way to maximize the IRS Refund that they will receive each year. Then they get to use that money for a vacation or to buy something special after the long winter.
Then there are people who would rather have a little more cash from their paycheck each week than to get an
irs refund. To them a refund is a waste and they really do not feel the government should use their money for a whole year.
There are occasions when those IRS Refunds can cause someone to be audited and even fined, because the refund amount seems excessive. The government has its own idea as to what is a reasonable amount for a refund.
Occasionally, due to individual circumstances, one might get a decent refund, but largely if it continues to happen year after year, the IRS will become interested and want to discuss this with the person.
These days you can have your IRS Refund mailed to you in a paper check as it has been done for years or you can have it electronically deposited into your bank account.
Have your taxes done by a
tax company and you will know right away, what your IRS Refund will be or you can even get a Pre Paid debit card with your refund already on it.
Overall, an IRS Refund is a very nice thing to get, so look into the ways to make it happen. The choices are yours.
